Who Are We?

The Murrumbidgee Private Irrigators represents the interests of people who extract water from the Murrumbidgee River its tributaries, billabongs and effluent streams for the purpose of irrigation. Member locations range from Canberra to Balranald and from Morundah to Moulamein. 

What Do We Do?

We represent the interests of irrigators through undertaking a range of services including lobbying, preparing submissions to government enquiries, participating in industry forums and meetings, meeting with federal and state politicians, assisting members with licensing and other water issues they might have. We are a constituent member of the New South Wales Irrigators’ Council, and an observer of the National Irrigators Council.
